The deal, in plain words.
Beta terms, last updated 23 August 2026.
Who can use it
Students aged 15 and over who live in Australia. Employers who hold an ABN and run the venue they post for. One account per mobile number; your number is your login, so keep it to yourself.
What StudentJobs is
A way to find and fill shifts. We are not the employer and we are not an agency. Pay, rostering, and the working relationship are between you and the venue. We show the award minimum for a role and refuse listings below it; the venue is responsible for paying what the law requires.
Listings and payment
Employers pay per listing. Prices include GST and every payment gets a tax invoice. The first listing is free. A listing runs for 30 days unless you close it. We can remove a listing that breaks the rules: off-platform contact requests, pay below award, anything unsafe for young people, or anything misleading.
Behaviour
Be honest and decent. Employers keep contact inside the app until a meetup is confirmed, meet under-18 applicants at the verified venue only, and turn up when they say they will. Students turn up too; a no-show simply does not earn history. Report anything that feels off; a person reads every report.
Spotted listings
Some cards come from public staff-wanted notices. They say so on the card. Applying sends the venue a short, de-identified note and a link to claim the listing. Venues can reply STOP at any time and we stop, immediately and permanently.
Liability and changes
We run the service with care and without guarantees of uninterrupted availability. Australian Consumer Law rights apply and nothing here limits them. We will tell you when these terms change. Australian law, Victorian courts.
